GROUP QUEST ASSIGNMENT ☽
Tasked with stopping the summoning ceremony, this group of Otherworlders will be approached by a Forsvar soldiers with directions: meet the others of this group at the Forsvar transport mirror and take it to the manor. While the library is rumored to be empty, there is no telling what other information might lie inside those walls.
QUEST OBJECTIVE: Venture to the Abandoned Manor on the Western Isles, investigate the library, and survive.
GROUP MEMBERS: V, Ashe, Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji.
INFORMATION AVAILABLE: The Abandoned Manor has an oppressive air about it upon arriving to the island itself. The closer the group walks, the more that feeling weighs upon them, at least until they enter through the unlocked front door when the feeling dissipates. Invisible barriers will lead them into the library which is, predictably, empty. Immediately, all four members of the group will find that they have no desire to leave the library, or the manor itself: truly, they should simply lie down where they stand and give up, as there is no point to this endeavor, no point to saving a doomed world, no point to living. Their willpower to exist will be stolen.
It is up to your group discretion as to who will be able to break out of this oppressive state and rouse the others. At least one person must be up and capable of fighting when the glaivewrung arrives. The more willpower it has eaten from the group members, the stronger and faster that the monster will be. The monster must be defeated in order to escape the manor and will require power from each of the group members to achieve its death.
Once the monster has been killed, they will need to exit the manor before any others arrive. Once outside, the door will remain open long enough to throw a piece of obsidian at all four group members before the door slams shut, accompanied by the sound of a lock clicking into place.
Should these obsidian pieces be placed back together as they should, perhaps it can help in the true goal at hand: stopping the summoning ceremony from occurring.
QUEST COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS: Please write a minimum of 1,500 words of the group venturing to the manor, investigating the library, defeating the monster, and escaping. This quest will not require NPCing from the mods. Please see the quest tag for examples!
QUEST DUE DATE: April 2, 2020.
QUEST REWARD: V will now have one third of a weapon that can be reconstructed to use against the summoning ceremony. It will take the place of two mages in the requirements but he must convince the other group members to give him their pieces. The Warlock will provide reconstruction of the scepter but it will come with the warning that it will be powered by using the life force of its wielder. Dangerous!
V will also receive a pendant from the Warlock that will give him a one minute immunity to the power of the glaivewrung, ten gold pieces, and the scepter once it is reconstructed.
Additionally, while V's impact rank will not increase, he will be granted a new title on the Impact Pantheon.

RNG for who finds the right door, just for fun? RNG me
Do you have enough willpower for this skill check? V has Griffon, who has already saved his life in the past from this exact situation. If you might also need Griffon's help, let me know.
What is your character's strengths? How do they fight. Do they fight? V has 3 familiars that he orders around. One is an aerial unit with lightning, the other is a ground unit with darkness/physical attack. The third is a golem that can reach the size of a large human and has some giant boulders for fists. He can't maintain the golem for long, I'd even venture he shouldn't be able to summon Nightmare at all here, I think that will really open up the room for other people to step in. Griffon and Shadow can be distractions/shields to help the others.
Anyone want to be injured? Not this time.
Opinions on the pieces of Obdisian? V can't tell them that he's aligned with the Warlock, he can really only tell them that he knows someone who will know what this shit is and what it does. I think it will be up to whether the group believes that or not.

Contact: We got this settled I think!
Anyone spooked by the manor (enough to try to leave)? Nope! Wuxian fights monsters and ghosties and what not on the daily, back home. It'll be more suspicious that the creepy feeling stops once inside the mansion.
RNG for who finds the right door, just for fun? Sure! Wuxian will likely be able to tell that invisible barriers are up / that there's some sort of magical maze going on. This emphatically doesn't mean that he knows which doors are right, though: he can tell the maze is up, but he can't see through it.
Do you have enough willpower for this skill check? Ehhhh... Wuxian is great at living for others, not so much for himself. He may have a rough time! But Wangji may be able to get him through it.
What is your character's strengths? How do they fight. Do they fight? He fights! He fights with magic, and he can fight with his sword. He can use his flute for magic as well, though somehow... fresh out of the willpower-zapping, it doesn't feel right to use that particular magic. (Last time he used that in a serious mood slip, it didn't end so well.)
Anyone want to be injured? I don't mind! I'd rather not anything super serious, but minor to medium injuries are A-okay. Wuxian is the kind of dumb-dumb who'll throw himself in front of others to protect them, so that could happen. (As a side note: Wuxian has some good light armor these days. So he could take a pretty serious attack and not come out too terribly, I think.)
Opinions on the pieces of Obsidian? V being so mysterious about who this person is will make Wuxian more suspicious than the fact that he wants the pieces in the first place. But he'll give his piece up anyway, though he'll ask V to keep him posted on what he finds out - and he'll expect that to happen.

Anyone spooked by the manor (enough to try to leave)? A little, but not enough to leave.
RNG for who finds the right door, just for fun? Sure
Do you have enough willpower for this skill check? Probably not! Though I had the idea that Bob would be with them, and as a robot he proooobably can't get mind controlled into wanting to stay. The others could notice that and maybe that kickstarts that something isn't right here?
What is your character's strengths? How do they fight. Do they fight?
Anyone want to be injured? I'm up for it, but they'd have to get through Bob first.
Opinions on the pieces of Obsidian? Hmm, what would you think of Ashe asking V to owe her a favor if she gives him the obsidian? Like the "binding contract and here's a tattoo" kind of agreement?

Anyone spooked by the manor (enough to try to leave)? Definitely not. Wangji here passes every composure check.
RNG for who finds the right door, just for fun? Sure!
Do you have enough willpower for this skill check? His dogged adherence to doing good until his last, as well as the Power of Love (for Wuxian) will pull him out.
What is your character's strengths? How do they fight. Do they fight? Wangji is a very powerful and agile fighter, using his sword and his guqin (creates shockwaves, can induce calm in people and spirits alike, and so on). One weapon he has used to help slay a monster before is his assassination chord technique, which uses guqin strings that can be made into a snare for the glaivewrung.
Anyone want to be injured? I'm open to it but nothing too major, please!
Opinions on the pieces of Obsidian? He will also be unsure about all this, but he'll more than likely hand over his piece.
